Still Amazed!!!

I cannot be more pleased with the experience we've had with Midway Dog Academy and our trainer. We brought home a 10month old rescue terrier and realized that while sweet and fine with us, he was exhibiting behaviors that we now know we're due to him feeling as if he had no 'leader'. He is a fearful boy and was barking and trying to 'protect' us from almost everything and everyone. After one session we gained the knowledge and the tools to make Sam's life easier and far less stressful. While we know due to his age and personality we will need to continue daily training and of course our walks so that he can do his 'jobs', we now have a much better handle on how to be the leaders he needs. Miracle Worker!

My first exposure to this company was when I called to inquire about possible solutions for our dog. I happened to get the owner and she spent 20 minutes discussing my dog's problems with me over the phone and even making recommendations for changes I could apply, all without me spending any money with her. That is when I knew this company was in business for all of the right reasons. They are true dog lovers and strive to help those in need of guidance and training. They did a home visit for our 4 year old rott that we have been having issues with listening and coping with his anxiety. She also evaluated our other dog, a 5 year old pit that we hardly have any issues with. Her evaluation was very thorough and she had numerous recommendations to help us gain back the alpha role in our home. After 2 days of applying her suggestions we saw a significant difference in both of our dogs and our stress level. She was very patient and to the point, which is exactly what we needed. WOW WOW WOW!

After rescuing my 1.5 year old high energy lab, I came to the realization that I needed help fixing underlying issues. I called Midway Dog Academy and was able to make an appointment rather quickly and get started. I worked with them and had the best experience EVER. One on one training is the way to go for my dog Frank. Megan was always available for questions and help and just a phone call or text message away. I am amazed at the simplicity of training yet the effectiveness is incredible. I am blessed to find a trainer that understands-not just the dogs needs- but mine also. Megan always answered my calls and emails when I needed reassurance. Working with her and my rescue dog proved to be very beneficial in so many areas...some that I didn't even think of. I'm so. Happy I made this investment into my dogs life. Now he is on his way to being the best dog ever!

Thank You Again!

My dogs (Reader and Writer) both attended a puppy training bootcamp about a year ago. Socialization taught me so much, from taking my dog to the park and giving him treats as he stopped barking at bikes to teaching him to be excited when seeing runners, instead of alert. As a cattle dog, Reader required a lot more socialization than Writer, but thanks to Midway Dog Academy, he learned. No, he doesn't love to play with other dogs, but he greets, runs around and understand the expected behavior in public places. Today, they are able to visit dog parks, indoor water pools, dog events, etc.. without an issue. Reader as an American Staffordshire was attacked at a dog park and instead of fighting back and potentially murdering the dog, he corrected, then I came to the rescue. I mean sure I wish he knew to defend himself better but he knows when the issue goes beyond him correcting, and he trusts me to step in. As an owner of this breed, I am grateful. Little dogs go after him, he corrects and teaches them to play nice. Thank you again for all the hard work you did with my pups!

Sunland-Tujunga /təˈhʌŋɡə/ is a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles located by the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in the Crescenta Valley. Though Sunland and Tujunga began as separate settlements, they are today linked through a single police station, branch library, neighborhood council, chamber of commerce, City Council district, and high school[1] and various civic organizations. The merging of these communities under a hyphenated name goes back as far as 1928.[2] Sunland-Tujunga contains the highest point of the city, Mount Lukens.

The neighborhood lies between the Verdugo Mountains and the San Gabriel Mountains. It is contiguous on the east with La Crescenta-Montrose. Sunland and Tujunga are divided by Mount Gleason Avenue, with Sunland on the west and Tujunga on the east. Mount Lukens within Tujunga is the highest point in Los Angeles at 5,074 ft (1,547 m).[3][4]
